Emma is a sophomore double majoring in Linguistics and Anthropology with minors in German and the Critical Languages Program. At the University of Arizona, Emma serves as a Franke Honors Ambassador and secretary of the UnderLings linguistics club, and she is a Stamps Scholar. She also holds a passion for music and is active in the School of Music and a cappella scene, working as Assistant Music Director for Enharmonics A Cappella. Emma devotes time as an intern at the Arizona History Museum and as a judge for National History Day in Arizona. As a native Arizonan from the East Valley, Emma appreciates the beautiful Sonoran setting of Tucson and enjoys hiking, camping, and learning about the area's history and culture. She is excited to promote the University of Arizona and the SBS College and share the many opportunities they provide. Emma is interested in linguistic and cultural documentation, preservation, and revitalization, and is currently researching endangered Indo-Pacific and Austronesian languages. After graduation, Emma hopes to attend graduate school and pursue a career in linguistic documentation.
