Dae-Kyung Kim

Dae-Kyung is a junior majoring in Philosophy, Physiology, Molecular and Cellular Biology and minoring in Bioethics, Biochemistry, EMS. He chose philosophy to understand and discuss foundational ideas from multiple perspectives. In his words, "Philosophy defines our action. It enables me to navigate the complex moral, social, and conceptual issues inherent in healthcare". On campus, he is involved in SBS ambassadors, Epic movement, Tucson Effective Altruism (TEA), UAEMS, Flying Samaritans, and research. His favorite part about being an SBS ambassador is providing prospective and current students with a variety of opportunities early, so that they can find their community on campus. He loves reading at Scented Leaf and staying active in the gym/pool. He hopes to study the intersection of where medicine meets meaning and work to better the healthcare system.
